Braden Motorsports Class 7100 Ranger Braden Motorsports of Southern California has developed a winning reputation
for a-arm Rangers, as they were the BITD Class 7100 champions during the
2002 season. The base truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger with a race prepped
4 cyl engine. Unlike most class 7s Rangers, Braden Motorsports chose to
build the late model a-arm suspension rather than the common I-Beam setup.
This truck is pulling a clean 12" travel up front after heavy modification
and alteration to the stock a-arms. The truck was built by Lothringer
Engineering of La Verne, CA. A King race series bypass shock was mounted
through the stock coilbucket, with a custom hoop and engine cage, and
a heavily modified lower arm built to accept the lower shock mount. A
custom fabricated spindle was made to accept the heimed upper and uniball
lower arm. In the rear, a King race series bypass shock is mounted on
top of a Deaver spring pack with custom shackles. All in all, this is
a solid built truck that is a heavy contender in the 7100 class. Ranking
first place last year, and already third in points for the 2003 season,
this will be the Ranger to watch! Big thanks to the Braden Motorsports
team, it was a pleasure pitting and chasing with you guys! Due to popular
demand, we are showing our colection of photos from tech, but look for
more content to be updated here shortly. |
