Penhall's Turnkey 4 Seater Buggy Penhall Fabrication has been in the business of building and maintaining
off-road race cars and trucks for the past 20 years. Their reputation
for building capable desert racing buggies has been aided by the racing
success of the shop's namesake, Jerry Penhall. Jerry and crew, Jamie Campbell
and Travis Fletcher, have taken their race proven designs and applied
them to a new breed of desert cars-- the 4 seat buggy prerunner. These
cars have been gaining popularity over the past few years, having similar
specifications and performance to class 1 race cars, yet still comfortably
seating 4 people. This can be crucial for a larger team for long races
such as the Baja 1000, where often times there are two sets of drivers
for the race, or a pit crew chief that also needs to know the course well.
These cars are heavier than the typical sand rail, which allows them to
survive the rough terrain of the desert, but are also capable in the sand.
How much is this car going to set you back? You can buy the car as pictured
for a little more than 40 large. Not including engine or transmission.
If that's a little too much to start off with, you could start with the
rolling chassis for about $22,800. If you'd like more information, contact
one of the guys at Penhall Fabrication at 949-650-3035 or check their
new website www.penhallfab.com
