Picked up my new prerunner project. '92 F150 4x4. Plans are to build this truck in stages while using it to pre run courses and help friends with their race efforts. I am going widen the front suspension to a track width of 91", keeping the functional 4wd. 4 link rear suspension. The rear cage will feature lockable storage bins for tools and spare parts. I have a reliable 427ci (570hp, 575ft lb) small block ford that I will drop in and build the E4OD trans to handle the power. Keeping the OD for driving it on the freeway. All fab work will be done in house and I will post progress pics once I start, have to get all the others car here done and gone lol

It is going to be a cool rig when it gets going. It is good to see all your hard work paying off.

As you might not know Rob, we could never get the E40D to live in the Bronco. Never seemed to hold up to less hp than what you are pushing. After 4-5 rebuilds on the same issue, we went with a C6 back in 2004. Had zero issues since with lots and lots of Mexico miles under her belt.

Been working on designing this set up for the front of my F150. 6x6.5 hubs on 2.5" spindles. Will run 14" brake rotors with 6 piston calipers. All this and it still has 4wd and does not widen the track width. Can't wait to get machining

Hi Rob,
Just throwing these up here as maybe helpful links for you and others. Was good info when I built my HP 44 because a lot of parts are interchangable. Axles, spindles, bearings, u-joints, etc. The axle chart was nice because I found stock size shafts close enough for my custom width and then cut the housing to fit. The last link is a guy's build thread that I based my build on with my own suttle differences. Lots of additional links in the build thread as well.

Looking forward to regular updates.

Been sneaking in some work on my truck I between everything else. Was able to get the beams finished minus the shock mounts. Next up, radius arms. Probably going to start building the 4 link at the same time
