Dude that paintjob is so perfect for that car. So bad ass. I saw a picture on the overland photography website. Looks so cool. I would like to do something like that on my car add some orange blue and a little yellow like all the old school bajas.

LOVE IT!

Thank you and yes they are. Set to match their, boxvan, 5-16, 11 and looking at adding a 10. We are a bit of a team now. I knew the family from BMX back some 15 years now. We do all the work on the car at their shop 10 minutes from my house. In fact we have the car fully torn down for prep already. Proam shifter and full set of CVs/axels are in the mail. What do you guys suggest for the loudest attention getting horn?

Hahaha. Bumper got plenty of use, as the horn died half way into the race. It was a little wimpy and not that loud anyway.

Linking up the history of the car. New thread title is better anyway. Thanks Zac.

Some trans history. Originally advertised as having mendi 4 speed. When I saw the car in person it did not. Has a 091 with weddle guts, and still does. This dropped the price quit a lot. Then I traded my baja for a mendi 4 speed with cash on top. It sat on the garage floor for month or two while I decided to cut the car up for the new trans. I decided to sell it because the job would require a relocate and custom fuel cell, relocate of the two batteries, and cutting off the back of the car. After last weekends race the jamar shifter has to go. Ordered a Proam yesterday. We are going to get a taller 4 th gear before the more 500. Planning to run the current trans for the rest of the more series, have jake make a custom aluminum cell, and Harmon bladder. That will make way for a better spare tire location, lower center of gravity, longer range with the bigger cell, and hopefully weddle will have the hv1 with a 5 speed ready when I am. Baby steps.

I warn you after you drive it with a 5 speed you will never be willing to settle for anything less. It really does make a huge difference in a 12 car.

The plan is to paint the bead lock rings blue to match. The BFG order didn't come through in time for the race so we took the wheels and brand new rear tires off the 5-16. Barstow tore them up a bit so they are now mine. What do you like better, the black or aluminum wheels?
