No 1600, that was from october referring to a 1600 car we where trying to get ready for the 1000. Its going to be a 2 year project to either buy a 2 seat 10, or have Jake build me a chassis and go from there. I'm done with dumping money into VW bs. Can't really sell it as a hole because it has a blown trans, blown motor, and the chassis is done. I'm thinking 5 speed is still the way to go, yes?

If I had to do it all over again I would probably buy a Trophy Lite truck or just put a VW motor in my car and race 12. This 10 car class is crap with all the guys whinning about motors etc. I am actually looking into getting a 12 car motor and make the switch.

You're nuts craig. They're whining but the class is still hands down way better than 12. Put a arms on the front of that thing and get serious.

Marland bummer but the truth is the wife and I knew we didn't have what it took to race a VW base car. We are hoping the motor crap gets worked out sooner than later and we can race a class with a sealed engine. How did the swap meet treat you? Sell some/most of the car?

Might as well give this thread some love too. Shots from the last two races. Erik was a big help in December at the toys for tots race.

Yes, Carrie did about a month a go. She is already back into good shape working out every day. She was great to bring along each time because having a dedicated photographer really makes for good memories and justifies throwing away all this money.

Btw, that trackside photo really shows the benefit of the drop spindles. Combined with the taller tires on a 16" front rim. Ain't nobody got time for dragging beams. The worst feeling in a 12 car is slamming beam at 60mph.
