Blitzkrieg Motorsports Stock Replacement 3-bolt Chevy Hub
by Ryan Plowman

Do you own a 99+ Chevy Silverado? Keep having to replace those weak unit-bearing front hubs? Look no further than the product displayed on this page. After constant complaint from customers and hear-say about the weak link on the Chevy Silverado's, the guys over at Blitzkrieg Motorsports came up with a plan. The plan was to produce a replacement hub that would get rid of the trouble's faced with the stock unit-bearing hub and provide the customer a solid product, at a very reasonable price. After late nights and lots of midnight oil burned, the final product rests here on this page.

Machined from a solid block of 4130 chromoly, the new hub is slowly turned down to its proper shape and contour. Once completed, its proper lug pattern (in this case 6 on 5.5) is drilled out on the hub's mounting surface. OEM wheel studs are used to ensure compatibility with the rear wheel studs and in the event of needing spare or replacement parts. Aftermarket wheel studs are available upon request for an additional charge.
The clever piece of the puzzle is shown here to the left. The spindle snouts are machined from 4130 chromoly, and upon completion, heat treated to ensure their strength. The spindle snout was machined to accept two tapered bearings manufactured by Timken, with an inside diameter of 1 5/8''. The reason for this magical number, is that they share the same dimensions as a Dana 44 Ford assembly and are very strong in shear size. Replacement parts are readily available at your local auto parts store for ease of availability, from the bearings, seals, and spindle lock-nuts.
To seal the deal, a machined piece of 6061 aluminum is used to keep the dust, debris, and moisture from entering the housing with help from an o-ring seal. Engraved on the cap is the BMS (Blitzkrieg Motorsports) badge and held in with a single set-screw.
