Donahoe Racing Prepares for
2004 Off-Road Racing Season
Donahoe Racing takes on the 2003 SCORE/Tecate Baja 1000
Donahoe Racing's racing calendar for 2004 includes: The Best in The Desert Parker 425 (Feb. 6-8); The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Rim of The World Rally (May 7-9); The SCORE/Tecate Baja 500 (June 4-6); and The SCORE/Tecate Baja 1000 (Nov. 18-21). This schedule is designed to put the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Stock Mini to the test. The different races chosen will effectively test Donahoe Racing's after market suspension systems, as well as the stock Toyota design. Donahoe Racing is looking forward to the 2004 racing season after a
good debut for the truck and the team at the 2003 SCORE/Tecate Baja
1000, the toughest in the race's 36 year history. Kreg Donahoe said
"It blows my mind how much torture that little truck can take.
Being a truly stock truck, I couldn't be happier with its performance
during its debut in Baja and the dedication of the whole Donahoe Racing
crew in building such a competitive truck in such a short amount of
time." Donahoe Racing received their truck from Toyota only a few
weeks before the SEMA show in November 2003. Employees built the truck
at night and on the weekends in three weeks to prepare not only for
the race, but for the SEMA show as well. The dedication of the crew
made its debut at both events possible and the Tacoma left the start
line for the Baja 1000 with a mere 35 miles of test time on it. Though the team didn't make it to the finish line, (a Volkswagen size rock impeded their ability to continue forward motion as it snapped the stock rear axel) their debut of the new race truck showed them that Donahoe Racing's aftermarket suspension systems for the Toyota Tacoma and Tundra can survive in the tough Baja terrain. Donahoe Racing would like to thank it sponsors without whom the Stock Mini Toyota Tacoma would not have been possible: Goodyear Tires, Walker Evans Racing Wheels, Toyota Motor Sales USA, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), Delta Lights, Kartek, SuperDuty Headquarters (SDHQ), Norwalk Toyota, Deaver Spring Manufacturing Company and Santiago 76. In addition to a full racing calendar, Donahoe Racing also sponsors several teams in the SCORE/Tecate and BITD racing series'. In 2003, Donahoe Racing sponsored trucks that swept the mini-truck classes in the SCORE/Tecate points championship. Those teams include: Class 7 Champion, GT Motorsports; Class 7S Champions, Bob Grahm and Mike Horner; and Class 7SX Champion, Daniel Fresh. All of these class champions were equipped with Donahoe Racing's suspension technology and components. Donahoe Racing has always prided itself on providing suspension technology to the general consumer straight from the proving grounds of the toughest deserts in the country; and the three championships last year will allow them to continue providing that technology to their customers. Donahoe Racing Enterprises, leader in off-road racing suspension and chassis development, is located in Anaheim, California. Donahoe Racing launched its SuperDuty & Excursion product line, The Edge Advanced Suspension, in 2001. Donahoe Racing's products are all based upon Donahoe Racing's 30-years of competition in off-road racing. Donahoe Racing's products are second to none in the aftermarket suspension arena; providing the installer with reliable, easily-installed components and the driver with the best aftermarket ride quality available and desired lift height.
